The Cornbelt Dam is a half a mile into the trip. The portage around it is a hike up a steep dirt bank. No firm landing anywhere, it is on the river right. Watch out for boulders and rocks that jut from the water at lower levels. You will go on swift riffles and at the 120th Street Bridge; a large boulder is the display of a devotional message. The take out is on the right after that bridge.
