At Lake Macbride you may swim, fish and go boating. The boats are not allowed to go faster than 5 mph. A 10 mph motor limit is enforced from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day. The neighboring lake, Coralville, has no restrictions on the motor size of the boats. You may rent pontoons, motorboats, canoes, paddleboats, and kayaks near the beach. The park has two locations, one on the North side with modern campground, beach, boat ramps, boat rental, picnic areas and park office. This is the smaller of the two trips of the lake, on the north side of it. There are several small islands to paddle by near the shore.
