Manawa is a Native American term; it means “peace and comfort.” Lake Manawa is a great spot for fishing. This is one of the greatest boating spots in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. All boats of any size are welcome. Modern boat ramps are available. You may rent paddleboats and canoes at the beach area. You will also find a Missouri River boat ramp that provides access to the river.
