As you start your trip, you will go through town, under bridges and wooded areas. When you come up to the riprap, watch out for protruding steel from the remains of a dam. If you want to make this a shorter trip or start farther down river, there is access at the Thunder Bridge and at the West Leach Park. Take out will be at the Sioux Wildlife Area, a concrete boat ramp on the river right.
