During the majority of this ride, you will see farm-rolling hills. The surface of the trail is paved streets. Starting at the Maquoketa Park, you will ride through the countryside; go through a couple of towns and then more farmland. Be aware, there is no shade; during the summer months wear sunscreen. At the trailhead, there are caves that can be explored.
