Brushy Creek State Recreation Area is one of Iowa’s prime outdoor destinations. The lake is the deepest artificial permanent pool lake in Iowa. The north equestrian campground is designed for campers with horses only. There is a horse wash area, electric and non-electric sites, showers, and restrooms. Each site contains a hitch rail, picnic table, grills, and a playground. Campers have access to a 100ft. X 200ft. Arena and potable water.
