Some rocks are near the water. You will also navigate through sandbars. The put in is about 250 yards downstream from the dam. After some riffles and by the second Highway 6 Bridge, watch out for rusty bridge pylons that could very easily damage a boat. The views are rural from then on; you will be paddling by an oak-covered ridge. The take out is at the Puckerbrush Access on the river left.
