As you go downstream, there are several small riffles.The put in is downriver from the dam. The views will change from fields, to wooded patches, sand banks and cornfield. It widens to 350 feet, where you can watch aquatic fowl. The take out is a boat ramp, at the Shell Rock Wildlife area on the river right, you may continue downstream and take out at the city park just before the dam.
