Brushy Creek State Recreation Area is one of Iowa’s prime outdoor destinations. The lake is the deepest artificial permanent pool lake in Iowa. The south equestrian campground is designed for campers with horses. They have electric sites, non-electric sites, and full hookup sites. Each site contains a picnic table, hitch rail, and grill. Guests have access to a horse wash area, restrooms, showers, and a playground.
