This is considered one of the best paddling spots in Iowa. Attracting big crowds during the summer months, especially on weekends. Equipped with paddle-in-paddle-out campgrounds, this is an excellent place to plan your trip. Look for the Plymouth Rock; it looks like a medieval fortress. Passing the Coldwater Creek Road Bridge, there will be an island, take the left channel for deeper water. Be watchful for overhanging branches on this part. It is a swift and tight channel; there may be dangerous snags. Downstream you will encounter a 2 ft. drop. The takeout is upstream from Chimney Rock Bridge on river right.
