The beginning of the trip is beautiful. It starts out with a limestone cliff that goes high above the river. There are riffles throughout, with stretches that become narrow and wooded; parts that are shallow and excellent fishing. You will come up to the bluff that is called “The Elephant;” it kind of resembles a pachyderm. As you paddle towards it, you will find power lines cross the river. The take out will be found on the river left, climb the steps up to the parking area.
