The Wapsi River as it is called, is an Iowa protected Water Area. As you go downstream, you will paddle by wooded ridges and bluffs, and limestone outcroppings. Take the time to visit the Cedar Rock; the grounds are managed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. About 50 yards upstream from the dam, on the river right is where you take out.
