Clinton Lake is surrounded by more than 60 miles of hiking trails that pass through scenic woodlands, prairies, and over ridges along the lakeshore. The main trunk of the trail system is on the north shore of the lake and is blazed in blue and white. This hike starts at a small parking area by a pond in the park. It follows the white-blazed trail through the thick woods away from the lake. It approaches the lake briefly for great water views before meeting up with the blue trail and returning to the start. The foliage is thick and beautiful and offers great scenery, especially in fall.
