This hike is located at Milford State Park on the east shore of Milford Lake. Mature walnut trees, hickories, and oaks provide a lush canopy and beautiful scenery. Part of the hike follows a creek and picturesque bridges offer dry passage over the low areas. The wide mowed path is well-maintained, even in the woods. The area provides great opportunities for wildlife watchers. Great blue herons, ducks, geese, pelicans, osprey, bald eagles, and many songbirds are easily spotted as well as a variety of small mammals.
