This hike is located in Milford State Park on the east shore of Milford Lake. This is a multi-use trail in the Sunset Ridge area of the park. It crosses through prairie, woodlands, and hay fields. You will also cross old stream beds and walk along the shoreline. The trail climbs to a scenic, grassy knob overlooking the lake for a beautiful vista. The area provides great opportunities for wildlife watchers. Great blue herons, ducks, geese, pelicans, osprey, bald eagles, and many songbirds are easily spotted as well as a variety of small mammals.
