Fall River Lake is a 2,450-acre reservoir located in Fall River State Park. It is in a very beautiful area and great scenery and views are seen from the water. Positioned between the Cross Timbers region and the grasslands of the Flint Hills, it is home to a great diversity of plant and animal life. Forested flood plains, blackjack savannahs, and tallgrass prairie dominate the scenery and is accented by limestone-capped ridges. Fishing, hiking, camping, swimming, and boating are other popular recreational activities near the lake. Common wildlife viewings include prairie chickens, waterfowl, rabbits, wild turkeys, white-tailed deer, and many others.
