This trail is part of the Fort Leavenworth National Recreation Trails system that has over 30 miles of trails in the Fort Leavenworth Military Reservation. It is a very interesting place to mountain bike with lots of history and tradition along with some scenic hills and woodlands. This trail utilizes paved and unpaved roads as well as doubletrack and singletrack trails. You will visit both the hilly upland area to the west and the floodplain along the Missouri River.
