The Hickory Creek Trail, located at John Redmond Reservoir, is a multi-use trail for hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers. There are four trailheads along the trail. It is mostly smooth and flat and runs through woodlands and open prairie. Campgrounds are also found along the trail for backpacking. Lake views are infrequent as the trail runs through a wooded area away from the shore, but there are a couple small ponds and streams. The trail is closed during deer hunt season.
