Jewell County State Lake, located in Jewell County State Park, is a 57-acre lake, surrounded by 108 acres beautiful, rolling prairie land. The scenery consists of grassland hills with native prairie grasses, woodland trees, and shrubs. Fishing in the lake is popular and it is stocked with a wide variety of fish. Public hunting is allowed on the property. Common wildlife see from the lake is pheasant, quail, turkey, dove, fox squirrel, rabbit, and deer. Swimming in the lake is not permitted. Motorized boats must be kept at a no-wake speed.
