Kingman County State Lake is a 144-acre lake located in the Kingman State Fishing Lake and Wildlife Area and has a maximum depth of 11 feet and an average depth of only 4 feet. There is great fishing for Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Bluegill. The eastern two-thirds of the lake consist of a waterfowl refuge that is very beautiful. The lake and surrounding wildlife area are ranked in the top 13 areas for wildlife viewing in Kansas. The scenery is forested and very pretty.
