Kiowa County State Lake is a small, 21-acre lake, located in Kiowa County State Park. The 43 acres of land was purchased in 1966 for the purpose of constructing a state fishing lake and to maintain the water level, it is necessary to pump ground water into the lake from a well located on the property. Largemouth Bass and Catfish are found in the lake. The scenery is wide open and consists of prairie and croplands.
