Lake Meade is an 80 acre lake located in Meade State Park in the High Plains of southwest Kansas. Surrounding the lake there are campsites and 360 acres of wildlife area. Fishing is plentiful for Bluegill, Catfish, and Largemouth Bass with motorized boating restricted to fishing only and no wake speed. The scenery is gorgeous with various trees, grass, flowers, and birds to identify around the lake. The lake is within a hunting region and wildlife is often seen from the water, including dove and quail, deer, turkey, rabbit, and some waterfowl.
