Lakewood Park offers a maze of trails that provide a quiet retreat from the sounds of the city. The park is 99 acres and offers over 2 miles of trails. The trails have a wood chip surface, are rated easy, and have benches conveniently located to allow a rest and opportunity to observe the scenic surroundings. This trail begins at the north side of the pond, travels along the east shore of the pond, parallels the river along the edge of a beautiful and colorful prairie, and then winds through the gallery forest before following the shore of the pond back to the start.
