The Miami County State Lake is a 101-acre fishing lake that is surrounded by 150 acres of wooded hillsides in a scenic valley. Access roads and fishing piers border the lake most of the way around. Fishing is good and the lake is stocked with Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, Channel Catfish, and Black Crappie. The scenery is wooded, providing a protected retreat for migrating waterfowl, and there are beautiful prairie areas as well. Some of the wildlife commonly seen includes white-tailed deer, a variety of songbirds and many other birds, bald eagles, great blue herons, and several small mammals.
