The Quivira National Wildlife Refuge covers 21,820 acres of salt marshes, sand dunes, dikes, canals, woodlands, and prairie. There is an abundance and diversity of wildlife and the bird checklist documents over 300 species. The beauty found here is stunning. This loop trail winds through timber, grasslands, and wetlands. There is an impressive 310-foot boardwalk that crosses the marsh and is excellent for viewing wildlife.
