Otter Creek can be difficult to find with enough water in it but if you do it will be one of the most enjoyable creek runs in the area. With a narrow channel, riffles, gravel bars, and rocky ledges, this creek can be both challenging and a job. Novice paddlers are cautioned to attempt this run only at low water levels. Trees often arch over the creek, making it seem like a tunnel of green foliage, rock, and water but also cause strainers in some places. At other times, the channel is wide and deep but you are never far from the next riffle. The lowest recommended flow is 50-80 CFS but it may still be a little scratchy. Higher levels create more difficult riffles.
