The Prairie Spirit Trail is a 52-mile path that travels north or south between Ottawa and Lola following the railbed of the old Leavenworth and Fort Gibson Railroad. The trail is paved within the cities with sections of hard-packed limestone between. Beginning at Cofachique Park in Lola and traveling north this section passes by rustic farms. It begins on a paved surface through the city and then changes to hard-packed limestone. A long bridge that intersects roads and streams is a highlight for most. Both trailheads have restrooms and parking.
