The Salina Levee Trail has a crushed limestone surface and travels through a wide variety of beautiful scenic settings. To begin, vast agricultural areas dominate the scenery, including prairie, pasture, cropland, and farms, but also within view of several housing developments. Later, a gallery forest lines the river, without allowing a glimpse of the river itself until you reach Crawford Street at the south end of Bill Burke Park. Follow park roads through Indian Rock Park, parallel the river for a short distance, and ride through much more agricultural land before ending in Thomas Park.
