The Saline River was named by French explorers because of the salt it picks up across north-central Kansas. This section of the river is in one of the most scenic parts of the Smoky Hills. You will float through rolling grassland parries and hills, winding through sculpted rock formations and buttes. There a lots of long, beautiful vistas. Great fishing is found in this part of the river and in Wilson Lake, where this route ends.
