Sheridan State Fishing Lake is a 67 acre lake with a maximum depth of 22 feet. It is nestled in the rolling prairie and cropland covered hills of western Kansas and it provides a serene getaway for camping, fishing, picnicking, and paddling. A wide variety of fish are found in the lake, especially Catfish and Largemouth Bass. Paved boat ramps are available to visitors with a no wake policy for motorized boats. Camping is also available along the shores with plenty of trees for shade. Scenery consists of many beautiful trees, lakeside campsites, and vast, rolling prairie.
