Walnut Creek is a beautiful paradise for river-lovers. Vistas of gorgeous hills, interesting rock formations, unique hardwood forests, and a variety of paddling experiences set the stage for a beautiful and peaceful day on the water. For fishermen, the lake and its tributaries provide good-sized catfish and a variety of other fish. The put-in and take-out are at the Carlisle Road Access Point. Paddle upstream for about five and a half miles and return. This intimate little creek offers spectacular scenery, good wildlife viewing opportunities, and isolation.
