Wilson State Park is located on the south shore of Wilson Lake and it contains an extensive hiking and mountain biking trail system. The lake is clear and blue and is located in the Saline River Valley among the Smoky Hills. The scenery consists mostly of native prairie with some timber. Spectacular views are seen of the Smoky Hills and of Wilson Lake. Wildlife is abundant and many recreational opportunities are available at the park.
