This 50-acre lake is inside the popular Metropolis Lake State Nature Preserve. Only electric motor boats are allowed. There is an unpaved boat ramp available. The lake is one of the few remaining naturally formed bodies of water in the state that has not been developed. You will find a large variety of birds and wildlife here. There is a short interpretive trail that that starts in the parking lot.
