Pennyrile Lake is a 56-acre lake located in Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park. Larger motorboats are not allowed on the lake. Canoes have to be carried down from the parking lot. Anglers will find bluegill, channel catfish, crappie, and largemouth bass. Hiking trails, camping, basketball and tennis courts, golf course, playground, picnic areas and more are available around the lake.
