Spring is the best time to do this adventure. There are several streams as well as small waterfalls. The terrain is rugged and sections of this can be strenuous. You will find a lot of ascents and descents as you go. You will travel north along several bluffs which offer great opportunities for scenic overlooks. The trail starts with the Indian Bluffs Trail and then splits off. No camping is allowed in the state park. However, only the first 1.5 miles of trail is in the park. No permit is required to camp once you leave the state park.
