The TransAmerica Trail is over 4,000 miles long. The trail goes from Astoria, Oregon to Yorktown, Virginia. This mapped section is quiet and secluded, allowing you to enjoy the open farmland and small town atmosphere. There are some hills along the way, most during the second half of the tour. The start is at the My Old Home State Park. You will pass by two other state parks on your tour: Lincoln Homestead State Park and Old Fort Harrod State Park. You can break the adventure up into two or three days by camping or staying in hotels along the route.
