This adventure starts in Grand River and goes along the Woodland Trace Scenic Byway. You will be traveling inside Lake Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Early on into your route, you will travel over the Barkley Canal which connects Lake Barkley to Kentucky Lake and has some nice views of the water. From there, you won’t have views of the lakes, just miles of trees lining the highway. There is little to no shoulder on this road. Your turn around point will be at the Golden Pond Visitor's Center.
