Junior Lake is part of a large cluster of water bodies in eastern Maine and is connected to various other lakes that can be paddled to if water is high enough. Some of these other lakes include: Duck, Horseshoe, Bottle, and Pocumcus Lakes. To reach Junior Lake, one will actually begin in Scraggly Lake. The road to the put-in location at Scraggly isn't so friendly, and in spring, access may not even be possible, so vehicles with high clearances are recommended. Note that parking is limited at put-in and avoid paddling these waters during windy weather due to high waves.
