Pocomoonshine Lake is comprised of two large, distinct sections of water that are connected by a channel in between. There are several islands, bays, inlets, and coves to explore. Wind can be a factor in deciding which direction to paddle and can make the water more hazardous - so it's recommended to go when the weather is calm. There are three good access points to the lake: one at the northeast, southeast, and northwest.
