Sears Island is the largest undeveloped, uninhabited island on the east coast that is accessible from a causeway. The large island offers miles of undeveloped shoreline that is fun to explore by kayak. Launching from the causeway, paddlers can circumnavigate the island without any open water crossings. There is also a hiking trail on the north end of the island near the causeway that may be worthwhile.
