Paddling the York River upriver from Wiggly Bridge is a scenic and enjoyable half-day paddle up a tidal river off the coast of Maine. The trick to paddling the river is starting on a rising tide and and turning back just as the tide begins to ebb. Paddling downriver towards York Harbor is also a possibility but be prepared for a lot more boat traffic.
