The Cross Island Trail is a National Recreation Trail and is a rail trail, occupying a section of the old Queen Anne’s Railroad corridor. It spans Kent Island from Terrapin Nature Park to the Kent Island Narrows. There are seceral points of access throughout the trail and the scenery ranges from protected land for birds and native plant life, to residential neighborhoods, forests of pines and hemlocks, and beautiful water views of small bays and Kent Narrows. A trail bike may come in handy if you wish to explore the trails and the Terrapin Nature Park.
