Deal Island Wildlife Management Area is a 13,000 acre property that contains mostly of great expanses of tidal marsh with some forested wetlands and a large impoundment. The water insects and crustaceans, as well as the abundance of wigeongrass, horned pondweed and other favorite waterfowl foods makes Deal Island one of the best places in Maryland to observe ducks and geese. This loop trail allows you to gain an intimate experience of the wetland habitat and study many plants and wildlife.
