This trail climbs to the ridge of Meadow Mountain for a stunning view of Deep Creek Lake, much better than that found from the fire tower. You will hike west, making a slow and gradual ascent until you pass the Old Brant Mine Trail where the path gets steeper and you will switch back to the peak of Meadow Mountain. At the platform there is a dramatic view south over the lake and into the West Virginia Alleghenies. On the way down, you will be graced with a tidbit of history as you pass by an old abandoned mine site.
