Double Rock Park occupies 102 acres of land adjoining the Parkville and Overlea communities. The park features a playground, pavilions, several athletic fields, and a rocky streambed for hiking and other hiking and biking trails. This hike explores the wooded area around the stream as well as following along the river where there is a beautiful waterfall. The waterfall is two parallel slides over an outcropping of gneisses. This area is very picturesque and features outstanding scenery in fall.
