The Fair Hill NRMA is in the northeast corner of Maryland bordered both by Pennsylvania and Delaware and is known for its pristine fields, woodlands, and natural beauty. On this trail there is a historic, rustic covered bridge and pavilion that is a great picnic spot. A section of the trail is above the Big Elk Creek with great views as it rushes past about 80 feet below. This hike includes a couple small creek crossings and some short ups and downs. The trails are flat, wide, hard-packed dirt and easy to follow. Watch for signs directing traffic for hikers and equestrians.
