This trail is located in the Fork Run Recreation Area just west of Deep Creek Lake. You will hike through a typical deciduous forest with beautiful plant diversity and scenery to the tops of two hills. The location here is known as a “frost pocket”, an area where the surrounding hills capture moisture and cold air that conspire to create a landscape more reminiscent of habitats found much further north in Canada. The trails on this hike consist of single and double track and old logging roads.
