The Frederick Municipal Forest is a forest area protecting the watershed servicing the city of Frederick. Within the forest are many small ponds, springs, and hiking trails. This circuit visits several ponds as well as exploring much of the surrounding forest. The forest is rich with wildlife and a diverse plant life. This hike makes use of hiking paths, fire roads, and forest roads.
