This hike winds through hardwood forests, into hemlock groves, and beside ridge top wetlands. As you walk past the high-altitude wetlands, watch closely to spot a beaver or a muskrat. There are many beautiful plants, wildflowers, ferns, and other greenery that create stunning scenery along the trail. There are a couple small river crossings and most of the trail is on wide old roads with sections of narrow footpaths that are also flat.
