This is a beautiful hike through mixed hardwood and conifer woodlands through the beautiful river valley and along the ridge above it. Some of the sights to see along the way include Raven Rock Falls, the stone ruins along Panther Branch, and views of hemlocks clinging to the canyon above Mingo Branch. You might also encounter red fox, beaver, and wild turkey. There are many popular fishing spots along the river as it is stocked annually with trout.
